MINIMIZING CLASSROOM DISRUPTIONS IS A PRIORITY AT SPRINGBROOK
Let your child experience the natural consequence of forgetting the “thing”!  It helps children learn cause/effect and how to link their own actions with outcomes.

WE PROMISE TO…

…ensure they get food and water

…help them navigate their day without the “thing”

… reach out to you if their teacher thinks your child really needs the “thing”

If you DO bring the “thing”, please be understanding that we will not interrupt classes to get it delivered (unless the teacher requested it or they are life altering “things”, of course).

PARKING LOT REMINDERS:

Our school parking lot and the surrounding streets are congested at starting and dismissal times. It is critical to the safety of all that parents adhere to these basic rules:

  • Be patient, cautious, and kind! We all have the same goal of getting our Seals to/from school in one piece!

  • Our Parking Lot is ALWAYS available for drop off and pick up.

  • When in the parking lot, pull all the way in to drop students - please DO NOT stop at the entrance to let students out.  Please pull to the curve before allowing students to exit the vehicle.

  • The right curb is for loading/unloading - no parking.

  • The left lane should be moving at all times for driving through the parking lot.

  • Do not leave your car parked in the red zones or blocking spots in the parking lot.  Please use the lot for loading/unloading only.

    • Students will walk to their respective classroom locations - staff will help direct students in the mornings.

Before and After-School Expectations:

Per IUSD Board Policy 5142: The school day for the student is defined as from 15 minutes prior to the student’s first class until 10 minutes after the conclusion of the student’s last class. Parents/guardians are not to deliver their student to school prior to 15 minutes before the start of school or leave them at school longer than 10 minutes after the end of the school day. Students who are still on campus after 10 minutes will be asked to wait in the front office and parents will be contacted.

We understand that our community enjoys accessing Springbrook’s playground, blacktop, and field. Please respect these guidelines:

  • Students in grades PreK-3 may NOT play on school property between primary-grade dismissal and upper-grade dismissal.
  • After dismissal, all students are expected to leave campus and go home. We ask that students/families completely vacate school property after school dismissal. This is to ensure students are reporting directly to parents/guardians and that Catalyst Kids, the on-site childcare program, has time to set up for their program’s activities.
    • The playground, blacktop and fields are designated for Springbrook students throughout the school day and for Catalyst Kid’s childcare program until closing
