Volunteering At Springbrook
We are also seeking volunteers who can assist at recess and lunch to help operate our "Seal Store", where students will have the opportunity to exchange their Seal Tickets for items of their choice. We are hoping to find parents who can commit to the store on certain days of the week on a fairly regular basis. Parents/Grandparents/Guardians can sign up any day of the week that works for them. Please click here to get on the schedule and support the Seal Store!
Note: Parent volunteers in/for the classroom will vary based on teacher needs. Your child's teacher will reach out when volunteers are needed.

Tournament of Champions - Mark Your Calendars
Tournament of Champions
Springbrook doesn't have team sports in school but we do have the Tournament of Champions! It is a beautiful display of community partners coming together to help build team spirit and support the Irvine Public Schools Foundation including sports organizations SoCal Elite, Liverpool FC IA SoCal, and ML Flag.
The OC Youth Sports *Tournament of Champions is a school-based series of tournaments that raises funds to support the Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF) and Tustin Public Schools Foundation (TPSF). Sports include soccer, flag football, basketball, and volleyball. Over the course of the year, schools are awarded points based on their performance in each tournament. At the end of the year the school with the most points will be presented with the Champions Cup to display at their school. If you have specific questions about coaching or volunteering, please contact our Springbrook Coordinator, Emily Bretan at emily.bretan@gmail.com.
REFLECTIONS
It’s Reflections time again! Reflections is a city, state and nationwide art competition for the whole of Springbrook Elementary to participate in.
My name is Steve Kemp and I am the new Unit Chair of the Reflections project for Springbrook. I would love as many kids as possible to get involved in this project and to submit their art creations. I believe that encouraging your kids to use their own creativity is an immensely rewarding undertaking and studies have proven that artistic endeavors can help students excel in all academic subjects. I am asking for your help to encourage your kids to come up with ideas and produce works for submission for this worthwhile project.
The rules for entries in the various categories stated above and other information on Reflections can be found on the Springbrook PTA’s website here.

Before and After-School Expectations
Per IUSD Board Policy 5142: The school day for the student is defined as from 15 minutes prior to the student’s first class until 10 minutes after the conclusion of the student’s last class. Parents/guardians are not to deliver their student to school prior to 15 minutes before the start of school or leave them at school longer than 10 minutes after the end of the school day. Students who are still on campus after 10 minutes will be asked to wait in the front office and parents will be contacted.
We understand that our community enjoys accessing Springbrook’s playground, blacktop, and field. Please respect these guidelines:
- Students in grades PreK-3 may NOT play on school property between primary-grade dismissal and upper-grade dismissal.
- After dismissal, all students are expected to leave campus and go home. We ask that students/families completely vacate school property after school dismissal. This is to ensure students are reporting directly to parents/guardians and that Catalyst Kids, the on-site childcare program, has time to set up for their program’s activities.
- The playground, blacktop and fields are designated for Springbrook students throughout the school day and for Catalyst Kid’s childcare program until closing
