Before and After-School Expectations

Per IUSD Board Policy 5142: The school day for the student is defined as from 15 minutes prior to the student’s first class until 10 minutes after the conclusion of the student’s last class. Parents/guardians are not to deliver their student to school prior to 15 minutes before the start of school or leave them at school longer than 10 minutes after the end of the school day. Students who are still on campus after 10 minutes will be asked to wait in the front office and parents will be contacted.

We understand that our community enjoys accessing Springbrook’s playground, blacktop, and field. Please respect these guidelines:

  • Students in grades PreK-3 may NOT play on school property between primary-grade dismissal and upper-grade dismissal.
  • After dismissal, all students are expected to leave campus and go home. We ask that students/families completely vacate school property after school dismissal. This is to ensure students are reporting directly to parents/guardians and that Catalyst Kids, the on-site childcare program, has time to set up for their program’s activities.
    • The playground, blacktop and fields are designated for Springbrook students throughout the school day and for Catalyst Kid’s childcare program until closing
